Disappointing
Quite simply it's a weak device - 12v isn't enough. The hammer mode just doesn't do it, so I had to use my mains powered Bosch.
I made the wrong choice so that it turned out more expensive. I wouldn't recommend it.

Bargain, value for money. Excellent speed and hammer control. Because it comes with two batteries you can work for longer. Overall very impressed. Fast delivery.

Does exactly what it says on the box. Robust yet light weight. Very pleased so far - great value for money.

not great i had it just under1 yr and the chuck snapped off why"ll using it and its under powered they did sent me a new Dewalt DC740KA 12v Professional Drill Driver, 2 Batteries and Carry Caseone under guarantee

Best Drill/Driver
This is undoubtably the best drill/driver I have ever bought. It was at a fantastic price and too be honest I cannot give it enough praise. From the moment it was delivered and I opened the case I knew I had made the right choice. It's tough and sturdy and does exactly (and more) what it says on the tin. The batteries are fully charged in an hour which is brilliant if you are in the middle of a job. It's not let me down once and I'm not sure it going to either. I can highly reccomend this drill/driver - which I do frequently to my mates !!

Good product with Pro features
I purchased the DeWalt 12V as a replacement for 2 older battery powered drills?screwdrivers that failed, mainly due to the battery packs/chargers.
I selected the De Walt because it looked serious, proposed 2 batteries with a case, and there was a price discount.
I confirm the product to be indeed serious: quality built, features found on pro machines (I like the torque variation).
I agree with some other reviewers that the machine is a bit weak for a 12 V (e.g. I have a Metabo 9V batteries powered drill that is much more powerful, but is much heavier).
I found the De Walt to be slitghly heavier than other makes, but it feels sturdy and stable in the hand. It did everything I wanted from it very reliably.
I recommend it.
